BELLCO, part of Mozarc Medical business, is a company based in Mirandola (Modena – ITALY), leader in systems for hemodialysis and extracorporeal blood purification. We are searching for Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer A Day in the Life As a Sr Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulate, deliver and/or manage projects assigned and work with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. You may act as a mentor to colleagues. The majority of your time will be spent on delivering R&D, systems, or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities: Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates, and develops mechanically wise biomedical single-use devices and systems.Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.Design, analysis, and optimization of single-use devices (such as blood lines, control cassette, and dialyzer) in terms of both functional performances and production process optimization.Must Have: 5-7 years of experience in industrial mechanical design.Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (PhD is a plus).Deep knowledge in plastic materials technology applied to biomedical single-use devices.Deep knowledge in mechanical design.Deep knowledge of 3D modeling (PTC Creo).Deep knowledge of plastic injection molding and plastic welding technologies.Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic technologies (applied to biomedical devices is a plus).Knowledge of PLM systems (PTC Windchill).Knowledge of international standards (applied to biomedical devices).Knowledge of English (min. C1 level).Knowledge of mechanical simulations (FEA ANSYS) is a plus.Nice to Have: Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft ProjectSoftware: SAP, SVN;Knowledge of R&D documentationDesign Control and Design TransferAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
