At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.Position SummaryThe Senior PM will manages all phases of project development from inception, completion of a commercialized product, launch through the lifecycle of the product.He/she will organizes and leads a cross functional core team on highly visibility product development programs.The projects managed by the Sr. Project Manager represent critical strategic imperatives and are global in both scale and scope, and have direct visibility to senior management.The recommendations for the Sr. Project Manager and Core Team have significant long-term impact on the division affecting the financial, employee and customer view of the company.DutiesCreates, maintains, and executes project development plans according to STERIS procedures and standards.Leads  team in development of  solutions to meet business, Customer, and regulatory requirements.Coordinates technical discussions and reviews to expedite solutions and implementation.Collaborates with other engineering functions, Quality, Regulatory, and Marketing for coordination of project activities and deliverables.Manages external contract engineers assigned to project.Reviews and refines estimates for scheduled  releases.Identifies resources needed to successfully complete  activities.Reviews  issues with project team to assess risk and prioritize.Assesses scope of open  issues and assigns to  project team members as appropriate.Identifies and tracks key performance metrics for reporting and data-driven decision-making.Oversees delivery of  development solutions and transfer of  design to production.Continuously looks for process improvement opportunities and works with project team to optimize implementationEducation DegreeBachelor's Degree in Engineering General or Engineering ManagementCompetencies Experience in the design and development of  systemsExperience leading  development projectsDemonstrated leader and/or technical expert within a  development organizationExperience in leading  teams in the development and delivery of complex solutionsStrong understanding of effort and skill set required to define, implement, and verify  applications.Experience in the tasks and technical risks in the development of  applications.Knowledge of typical documentation and deliverables for complex  systemsStrong communication and problem-solving skills.Exceptional team player and adept with conflict managementAbility to support multiple projects is desirableKnowledge of English Language (minimun B2)Additional InformationWe are committed to equal employment opportunity and the use of affirmative action programs to ensure that persons are recruited, hired, trained, transferred and promoted in all job groups regardless of race, color, religion, age, disability, national origin, citizenship status,  sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, and any other category protected by state or local law.STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.WE HELP OUR CUSTOMERS CREATE A HEALTHIER AND SAFER WORLD by providing innovative healthcare, life sciences and dental products and services.STERIS is a $5 billion, publicly traded (NYSE: STE) company with approximately 17,000 associates and Customers in more than 100 countries.STERIS strives to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
