NPosition Type: Non-ManagementJob SummaryThe Marketing Executive is part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our customers.
Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing and Communication, this role promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels with the goal of enhancing the image of the hotel.
This role helps to build direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to drive consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness.
This role focuses on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions, both to hotel guests and local patrons.
This role also balances traditional and digital marketing and eCommerce activities and contributes to public relations (PR) activities for the hotel.
Success is measured by how well they help drive the sales and revenue strategy of the property, social media engagement, and how effectively leveraged the resources around them are to create compelling marketing and communications campaigns.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceRequired:2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major and 4 years experience in the marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred.OR4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major; 2 years experience in the marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.CORE WORK ACTIVITIESHotel Marketing and AdvertisingSupport the Director of Marketing Communication in developing the annual marketing plans.Partner with Operations, Food Beverage and Sales teams to execute promotions and campaigns targeting in-house guests with promotions that drive incremental revenue to the hotel.Act as the liaison between the marketing department and advertising agency on tactical advertising campaigns' creative and media plans, particularly for food and beverage promotions, under the Director of Marketing and Communication's approval.Partner with property Revenue Management to verify correct offer loading and advertisement targeting directed at relevant consumer groups.Execute email marketing and display advertising when needed.Maintain frequent, active engagement with the corporate digital team to verify alignment, pull-through, and 2-way communication about the status, performance evaluation, opportunities, and issues related to online programs and initiatives.Verify all advertising for the hotel in digital channels is in alignment with brand voice.Verify all printed collaterals are aligned with brand guidelines and updated with the latest information (e.g., FB menus, in-room collaterals).Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for program success.Compile market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends.Social Media Content ManagementFacilitate social media engagement in collaboration with external agencies and corporate digital team, updating content in local digital channels (e.g., hotel website, travel sites).In collaboration with corporate digital team, develop and execute promotions campaigns in FB, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences through relevant digital and social media channels.Engage in proactive online reputation management by surfacing relevant guest comments (positive or negative) in social media channels and responding accordingly.Public Relations and Visual Asset ManagementSupport the Director of Marketing and Communication in developing a comprehensive PR plan per quarter along with PR agency and PR corporate team.Maintain a comprehensive and updated list of local media contacts, including selected influencers and FB critics and bloggers.Manage assigned accounts as per the media account management system.Supervise and review all press releases for property events, promotions, and outlets.Manage the execution of hotel-sponsored events and press promotional activities, including organizing individual media visits and group press trips.Support pull-through of impactful PR strategy activities to drive quality press coverage through media engagement, in alignment with communications objectives.Verify that news clippings and other online, print, and social media mention reports are completed monthly for property distribution.Manage external vendors and media agencies; work with agency partners and continent PR leader to identify strategic media buys for their hotel(s), in agreement with the Director of Marketing and Communication.Surface and vet PR leads from the continent PR Leader regarding the best media to promote the hotel.Support the coordination of photography for FB advertising, collateral, and public relations purposes between the hotel, advertising agency, and regional field marketing teams.Manage monthly photo shoots and special photo shoots for seasonal or festive promotions, in partnership with the external agency, contributing refined taste, attention to detail, and sense of aesthetic.Act as the central point of contact for regionally approved local photographers for food, amenity, and property imagery; coordinate with area or cluster marketing to verify all photography adheres to brand voice.Direct Marketing and Collateral DevelopmentCoordinate and execute Hotel and FB printed materials.Control quantity and inventory of all Hotel marketing collateral and verify copies are filed comprehensively.Assist in the production of all property, FB display, and temporary signage in hotel public areas.Promote collection of competitors' collateral and publicity on a monthly basis.Manage the execution of FB direct marketing activities.Verify all collateral is as per brand standard guidelines and in compliance with Brand Standard Audit (BSA).GeneralAssist and manage the development, coordination, and execution of all communications activities with a strong emphasis on property FB promotions and campaigns.Help with the publication of the hotel's newsletter(s).Support communications duties and functions as deemed necessary.Assist in the liaison and execution of joint FB promotions.Work with eCommerce to verify the Hotel's website and related websites are updated regularly.Partner with the Director of Marketing to create a marketing plan aligned to hotel sales and revenue strategy.Keep abreast of competition and its collateral, advertising, and marketing efforts and constantly evolving digital and marketing trends.MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIESLeadershipAdaptability - Maintains performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace.Communication - Conveys information and ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner through a variety of methods.Problem Solving and Decision Making - Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities;
