Junior Product Design Engineer

We offer a role as Junior Product Design Engineer , who will be based in Aliaxis Casella (GE) and will be introduced as an Intern for an initial period . Reporting to the Technical Team Leader Development Manager, this figure will be part of and provide support to the EMEA IPD (Innovation and Product Development) department.
The candidate will support technical projects regarding new product development following all the development phases, starting from the market needs and concept creation, through 3D modeling and design using CAD tools, until the delivery to the production phase. The candidate will work in a dynamic environment which allows him/her to improve knowledge and know-how competence.
The Key Responsibilities Can Be Summarized As Follows: New design concept with 3D CAD modeling following Product Development Engineer guidelines.
Correctly dimensioning parts for stress resistance and injection molding manufacturing.
Products design optimization by FEM Simulation analysis and test laboratory Engineer.
Follow the prototypes test in collaboration with the laboratory Engineer.
Act as the reference point for the team during the development of the product and managing the timing of the project.
Prepare from 3D models prepare the 2D drawings with correct dimensional tolerances and G&DT.
Provide direct cost evaluations working with other departments of the company, Production, Purchasing, and external suppliers.
During the development phase drive and work with other departments to give all the information needed till production phase.
Manage the creativity phase of the project by leading brainstorming meetings and other product development analysis.
Define technical data for ERP data entry (Production Cycles, BOM, Packaging).
Support for negotiation with suppliers & procurement (technical requirements).
Manage the model/drawing revisions in the hub database.
Required Qualifications And Competencies: Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
Good technical and technological knowledge.
Proven skills in CAD software and drawings management applications.
Knowledge of plastic components design techniques.
Knowledge of injection molding technology and machine tools production technology.
FEM (Stress/Deformation, CFD) knowledge and competences is considered a plus.
Fluent in English.
Team working attitude.

Curiosity in new technologies and opportunities to find in the market bringing added value for the Product/Project.
