(SRE) Keywords: Number of Positions: 2 Remaining Positions: 2 Duties: We seek an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our Engineering Infrastructure TPM team at Okta on a contract basis.
As a Scrum Master you will work with our Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to develop efficient and effective processes for intake triage grooming prioritization planning and execution.
You will serve as an example and a coach.
Your goal will be to lead each team to a higher level of operational maturity.
You will work closely with Architects Engineering Managers and Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to ensure that the teams daily work aligns with organizational priorities.
You will enable the team to manage risk remove obstacles and manage stakeholders.
You will serve as a mentor to our teams helping to foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.

Objectives of this role Partner with SRE scrum teams to develop high functioning agile practices Partner with SRE teams to ensure effective processes for intake triage grooming planning execution and stakeholder management are in place Train Engineering Managers & Team Leads how to serve in the role of Scrum Master Ensure agile ceremonies are efficient and effective.
Guide and coach the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices.
Your tasks Temporarily facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily standup meetings sprint planning and sprint retrospectives while training the team how to serve in the role of scrum master Lead the cleanup of the teams backlogs intake processes sprint boards and other dashboards Evaluate the quality of the teams work tickets and lead an effort to ensure all internal stories are written with a high degree of quality.
Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the teams velocity.
Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions.
Work with the team to develop effective means for managing stakeholders communicating status and for addressing risks and issues.
Assist the teams in managing their quarterly roadmaps.
Ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles Coach the teams in selforganization Create internal agile documentation for the teams to refer to Skills: Required skills and qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a product development organization Strong knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
Experience working with JIRA and Confluence Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams Preferred skills and qualifications Technical project management experience Experience working with SRE or Infrastructure teams working on a cloud hosted product.
Certification in Agile methodologies like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
