What We Are Looking For We are looking for passionate, curious, and innovation-oriented electrical engineers who embrace our ambitious mission to develop low-to-zero carbon power plant solutions and to drive plants electrification, by leveraging on our legacy background while investing in new competencies and technologies.
Partner with the best As Lead Electrical Plant Integration Engineer within the Energy Management and Electrical Plant Integration CoE organization, you will be leading electrical engineering activities of highly challenging projects like liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants, combined-cycle power plants, hybrid power plants (combining renewables and energy storage with conventional gas-fired generation), process or turbomachinery modular solutions, carbon-capture plants, and more under development.
Specifically, you will be accountable for the following key activities: Performing electrical design activities aimed at sizing and specifying key electrical equipment at plant level, including LV/MV/HV equipment (e.g.
MCC, switchgears, substations), LV/MV cables, transformers, e-houses/local electrical rooms, electrical protection systems, etc.
Performing or coordinating power system studies to ensure a satisfactory behaviour of the electrical network, including main equipment sizing validation through load flow and short-circuit analyses, transient stability studies, harmonics analyses, protection coordination, arc-flash studies, etc.
Issuing technical purchase specifications for key electrical items, vendors technical alignment and coordination, design drawings follow-up.
Coordinating outsourcing engineering companies to balance workload flexibility while ensuring the highest quality standards.
Providing support to other project disciplines and project management.
Participating in meetings with Customers/Suppliers as per project needs.
Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Be curious, open-minded and have a growth and innovation approach.
Have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Have work experience in industrial/power plant electrical design.
Have expertise in projects-related activities as electrical engineer for plants equipment and knowledge of relevant international codes (mainly IEC/US standards).
Have good expertise in power system studies of industrial/power plants (ETAP software preferably).
Have the ability to work with multi-disciplined cross-functional teams in a global matrix environment.
Show excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills.
Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent both in English and Italian and hold an EU passport.
Differentiating background considered as a plus: Experience in power generation applications (especially combined-cycles).
Experience in renewable energy applications (e.g.
solar PV, wind), as well as MW-scale battery storage.
Knowledge of Power/Energy Management System.
