.WFP celebrates and embraces diversity.It is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all its employees and encourages qualified candidates to apply irrespective of race, colour, national origin, ethnic or social background, genetic information, gender, gender identity and/or expression, sexual orientation, religion or belief, HIV status or disability.ABOUT WFPThe United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes.Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXTThese jobs are located in the Office of Inspections and Investigations in Headquarters (HQ).The successful candidate will operate as a team member and will report to the Director, Office of Inspections and Investigations or the designate.Frequent, often at short-notice, travel to WFP Field Operations is required, mainly to developing countries.JOB PURPOSEThe Consultant will report to the Director, Office of Inspections and Investigations (OIGI) and/or his delegate as appointed by the Director of OIGI.The consultant will specifically deliver their work either individually or within a multidisciplinary team.The ultimate goal and mission of the OIGI is to conduct independent investigations into allegations of misconduct involving WFP staff, contractors and other applicable persons.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)Under the supervision and direction of the OIGI Director or his delegate, the Consultant will generally be responsible for some or all of the following duties: Review and assess complaints and allegations; Carry out investigations into allegations of violations of applicable rules and regulations; Conduct interviews and collect evidence; Draft reports on the outcome of the investigation including recommendations for corrective action;
