Saipem is One Company organized into five business lines - Asset Based Services, Energy Carriers, Offshore Wind, Sustainable Infrastructures, Robotics & Industrialized Solutions. Within the Energy Carriers Business Line, the Plant and Piping Department is looking for a Piping and Layout Engineer Expert .
Activities and skills Profile of proven experience in plant design of industrial plants in the oil gas petrochemical sector, Renewables, FPSO, module projects with particular focus on:
Plant layout development; Drawing up critical piping routing from process diagrams and plot plan and levation plans considering constraints such as: accessibility, maintainability, safety, thermal gradients, material costs; Counting of piping materials based on P&ID and plot plan; Interpretation of technical specifications identifying critical aspects Analysis and interpretation of contractual clauses and critical analysis of customer requirements Planning activities, commenting on project schedules, delegating tasks to co-workers and continuously monitoring progress Management and timely issuing of change orders and variants with respect to the base scope Supervision of piping engineering activities produced by external subcontractors or other Saipem engineering centres. The resource will be responsible for ensuring the execution of Piping Engineering activities in compliance with the costs and timescales set out in the contract and in accordance with the strategies defined by the project management, interfacing with piping figures such as Piping Lead, Piping Material Engineer, Piping Flexibility Engineer, Piping Designer and Piping Engineer of various backgrounds and nationalities.
QUALIFICATION: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification
KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Proficient in English
LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: Permanent contract
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years experience in the same role
LOCATION: Milano (MI) Willingness to travel and/or Italy/foreign contracts for even medium-long periods complete the profile, both at engineering centres and construction sites. Contract type: permanent, salary package commensurate with the level of experience
