DescriptionThe Color Lab Technician will be responsible for formulating custom colors for silicone filling production lines using advanced equipment.  They will also be responsible for various tests to ensure the correct colors and quality of product as well as compliance with our customer requirements and quality processes. Primary Tasks: Match in-process samples with standard colors to determine color accuracy within production Operate various pieces of lab equipment and tools to obtain various testing results that are utilized for compliance with customer requirements.Recording of testing results in our system.Communicate results and other information with the lab team and production in a timely manner.Use customer custom color standards to determine pigment formula which will be used in creating custom-colored silicones for production based on customer requirements.Maintain samples for specified time period deriving from customer requirements.Secondary Tasks: Providing support for internal and external audit teamsMaintaining a safe, clean and orderly work areaFinding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings and efficiencyOther duties as assignedQualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  (Associate degree in chemistry or lab-based sciences preferred)Skills: Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloadsAbility to stand or sit for extended periods of timeExperience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OutlookGood oral and written communication skillsBe able to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to maintain and safely utilize various pieces of lab equipmentAbility to follow work instructions and proceduresAbility to work well in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast paced, stressful environmentAbility to work with and meet deadlinesExperience: Related previous lab experience or trainingDesired Skills: Aptitude for problem-solvingDesired Traits: Self-motivatedStrong attention to detailGroup O is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
