What you'll do: Receive guidance and direction from our amazing engineering and product leads to develop new features and functionality for the products that we deliver across both frontend and backend technologiesCollaborate with the Product team to plan future sprints by contributing to story definition, providing work estimates, and regularly identifying technical dependencies and blockersReview your team members' code submissions to ensure our work meets the needs of the project in terms of quality, correctness, consistency, and performanceParticipate in regular shares with client stakeholders on project progress and delivered features and functionalitySupport the engineering department by sharing the technical knowledge you learn with your project teamsProduce documentation on methods, decisions, technical approaches, and other contexts to improve the developer experience on our projectsParticipate in your own career development and growth by working with your coach to identify areas where you can continue to build the knowledge, skills, and experience that are necessary to be successful at MetalabRequirements: 2+ years of development experience with at least one primary area of focus (frontend React or React Native, backend Node or Python, headless CMS or E-comm)Deep appreciation of the design practice and can protect the integrity of design intent without compromising fidelityResponds positively to both professional and project-based feedback and can help the team adapt to changing priorities within fast-paced projectsOrganized, self-motivated, and comfortable advocating for your needs and the needs of the projectYou have experience implementing modern Typescript frameworks (ie. React, React Native, Next, Nest) and common coding tools and packages for localization, linting, state management, and stylingYou have experience implementing one or more of the following 3rd party platforms or services including Shopify and Shopify Headless, CMS platforms like Sanity and Contentful, monitoring and analytics tools like Sentry and Google Analytics, and identify and authorization services like Google Firebase, Auth0, and AWS CognitoYou are excited to learn new technologies and adopt new solutions to deliver amazing products and further your depth of knowledge as an engineer and technologistYou are comfortable following general Agile delivery methodologies and participating in regularly scheduled standups and ceremonies (we do our best to prioritize progress over process)Nice to haves: Experience in an agency setting
