Job Title: Network Administrator Job Location: Naples/Gaeta, Italy FLSA: Exempt Job Description: This position will serve as a Network Administrator supporting the U.S. Navy's Piers Program in Naples and Gaeta by providing connectivity services to US Navy vessels. Job Responsibilities: Provide pier-side connect/disconnect service to navy vessels24/7 on call rotation tasks to ensure all vessels requiring connectivity receive service as they dock at the port.Preform fiber optic cable cleaning/testingPlan and organize complex operational designs, develop support plans, coordinate implementations Manage underlay routers to NSA Naples and Gaeta to provide serviceProvide second level support for Local Area Network (LAN), Base Area Network (BAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions encompassing heterogeneous platformsAssist information engineers in coding, testing, implementation, and documentation projects Work with Cyber Security analysts to ensure Enterprise information flow is secureEnsures effective and efficient operation of network systems, architecture, and topologyEnsure network configurations are backed up regularly and properly storedMonitor and troubleshoot to ensure all operating systems are functioning properly and conform to operation security policies and proceduresReceive and analyze network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alertsTrack and document incidents from initial detection through final resolutionAssists with the development and application of business processes to ensure appropriate service levelsExperience Requirements: Experience managing Cisco routers and switches such as ISR, ASR and 9300.Must meet TR requirementsCertification Requirements: DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level IICompTIA Security+ ANDCisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) ANDMicrosoft 365 Endpoint Administrator AssociateSecurity Clearance Requirements: SecretTechnical Representative (TR) Accreditation Requirements: Candidates must be eligible for TR Accreditation awarded via the Defense Overseas Contractor Personnel (DOCPER) office.
