About us

Cristóbal Balenciaga founded the House in 1917 in his home of Spain. In 1937, he established the brand in Paris, designing its collections there until 1968. Cristóbal Balenciaga had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior and as "The Couturier of the Couturiers" by Gabrielle Chanel. The ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house.

While the brand's identity is firmly rooted in its highly conceptual prêt-à-porter collections, its leather goods, footwear, and accessories experience worldwide success as well. Among the archetypal products of the House are its handbag collections. A new focus on the development of Balenciaga ready-to-wear collections for men was quickly established as highly successful.

Since October 2015, Demna has designed both men's and women's collections as the artistic director.

The Balenciaga House, part of the Kering group since 2001, is one of the most influential names in fashion.Job Description BALENCIAGA Italy Retail Manager We are currently seeking a Italy Retail Manager who will be part of the EMEA region.
Your opportunity Italy Retail Manager oversees the retail network across Italy (free-standing stores, shop in shop stores and outlets). S/He will be in charge of ensuring the profitability of the network in line with the brand's commercial strategy and guidelines. S/He will be responsible for adhering to the brand's image and DNA and for guaranteeing excellence in terms of the welcome and the service we offer our customers.
How you will contribute BUSINESS LEADER
Understand and constantly monitor local business environment including market trends and competitionMaximise sales results and KPIs within the network, in line with the brand's targetsAnalyse sales data (customers, products, footfall, etc.) and define action plans accordinglyEnsure profitability of the network in line with the brand's strategyMaximize omnichannel businessTALENT LEADER AND DEVELOPER
Create and maintain a positive work environment, consistent with brand's valuesInteract with Retail Managers, Store Managers, store teams and stakeholders to establish effective and strong relationshipsProvide management and guidance for Retail Managers and Store Managers on a regular basisRecruit, engage and develop store teamsBUSINESS DEVELOPER
Lead and coordinate with the departments involved the new openings, the renovation and refurbishment of storesDefine constantly opportunities for growth and execute actions accordinglyLiaise with Finance and Leadership Team to identify potential locations (shop in shop, freestanding stores, outlets) for future expansionPROCESS MANAGER
Ensure that all the processes are in compliance with legal, safety, security, sustainability, HR guidelinesEnsure the perfect implementation of global retail guidelines and projects related to the back of the house, front of house and customer experienceEnsure adherence to the brand image of the stores following the global visual merchandising guidelinesSupervise inventories in collaboration with Operations Team and HQsEnsure omnichannel processes are in line with HQ guidelinesBRAND PROMOTER (CLIENTS)
Behave as a Balenciaga Ambassador, sustain and promote the culture of the brand internally and externallyDevelop client centric mindset and client's loyalty and retention from beginners to VICsEnsure Balenciaga signature and client experience are executed and consistent over timePartner with Marketing & Client Engagement Team to plan clienteling initiatives with specific focus on local clients (in-store events, clienteling campaigns) Who you are Able to prioritize task execution based on business needs A person with rigor, sense of organization and multi-tasking management A professional with strong problem-solving skills Available, adaptable, with sense of service Able to maintain a positive work environment while respecting brand values and behaviours A person with business acumen A professional with persuasion skills, negotiation skills A person who can speak Italian fluently, French would be considered a plus Why work with us?
