For more information, visit www.datacolor.com Position Summary: As a QA Support Engineer, you are a subject matter expert in the products and services offered by Datacolor.
You are responsible for testing, diagnosing, triaging customer issues, and escalating the issue to software development if needed.
In this position, you will develop use-cases and test scenarios, and perform functional and non-functional tests for new features before product release.
Responsibilities: Develop detailed test plans, user scenarios, and testing procedures based on product requirements and specifications.
Install, configure and manage the software testing platforms.
Work closely with software development engineers to troubleshoot problems discovered during the testing process and after release.
Develop general and detailed testing documentation and Bug Reports.
Establish the root causes of application errors, and escalate serious concerns.
Monitor production issues in Salesforce to ensure issues have been triaged and allocated appropriately.
Ensure Bugs have the correct level of detail captured by Level 3 Support.
Troubleshoot bugs that cannot be resolved by Level 3 before logging into DevOps.
Update the Salesforce bug report with resolution details and version where the bug is resolved.
Capture further details and document recovery attempts before escalating.
Manage the customer databases, applications, servers, or network ecosystems for support and testing teams.
Perform database testing and/or support for customer issues.
Analyse and identify trends in issue reporting and devise preventive solutions; maintain dashboard and have periodic reviews with management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, organize software release meetings, and support product launches.
Qualifications: 4 Years of Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related.
5 years of relevant experience in Testing and/or Technical Support.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Very strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Working experience in either plastic, paint, printing, ink or textile industries or similar industries is a plus.
Experience with Datacolor products will be a plus.
