RINA is currently recruiting for a Subsea System Junior Engineer to join its office in Fano, Italy within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.MissionThe Subsea System Engineer is a crucial role within our Subsea Offshore Engineering Team, responsible for a variety of Technical Engineering activities related to design, verification, and certification of Subsea structure/System and Vessel receiving structures, either existing or new.Key AccountabilitiesEngineering Studies and Analyses: Develop engineering studies and analyses relevant to subsea structures and vessel receiving structures, including both existing and new projects.Design and Engineering Consulting: Conduct design and engineering consulting activities at various levels (feasibility studies, concept selection, basic design, detail design, FEED, cost estimation) for subsea/offshore projects.Structural Analysis and Layout Definition: Develop structural stress analysis and define layouts for structures, equipment, flanges, fittings, etc.Client and Project Team Interface: Interface with clients and project teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions; Review client technical documents during the bidding phase; Support and prepare technical and commercial proposals.Technical Documentation and Standards: Review client technical documentation and requirements; Ensure the adequacy of technical documentation and contribute to updating relevant standards.Design Basis Preparation: Prepare the design basis for the project and interface with relevant processes and structures.Technical Problem Resolution: Assist Subsea Senior Engineer or Subsea Principal Engineer in solving technical problems arising during projects.Project Design Changes Implementation:Third-Party Management: Engineering Review: Perform review/independent analysis of subsea structures and vessel receiving structures during third-party engineering; Subcontractor Oversight: Check engineering activities of third parties/subcontractors.Technical Papers and Guidelines: Cooperate in the preparation of technical papers, rules, and guidelines.EducationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.QualificationsHaving up to 3 years of experience in subsea/offshore engineering projects, with a proven track record in leading technical engineering activities, will be considered a plus.Proficient knowledge of structural analysis techniques and relevant software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS).Good knowledge in CAD software for layout design (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).Good level of Italian English (both written and spoken).CompetenciesADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way.BUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization.CLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction.EARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity.MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources, and constraints.MANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and others' emotions and express and regulate one's reactions.PIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances.PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role Model.THINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future.With over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player that provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training, and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
