Job Summary:

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Subsea System Engineer to join its team in Fano, Italy. As a key member of the Energy Engineering Solutions Division, you will be responsible for a variety of technical engineering activities related to subsea structures and vessel receiving structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engineering studies and analyses relevant to subsea structures and vessel receiving structures, including both existing and new projects.
  • Conduct design and engineering consulting activities at various levels (feasibility studies, concept selection, basic design, detail design, FEED, cost estimation) for subsea/offshore projects.
  • Develop structural stress analysis and define layouts for structures, equipment, flanges, fittings, etc.
  • Interface with clients and project teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions; Review client technical documents during the bidding phase; Support and prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Review client technical documentation and requirements; Ensure the adequacy of technical documentation and contribute to updating relevant standards.
  • Prepare the design basis for the project and interface with relevant processes and structures.
  • Assist Subsea Senior Engineer or Subsea Principal Engineer in solving technical problems arising during projects.
  • Implement project design changes.
  • Manage third-party engineering; Subcontractor Oversight: Check engineering activities of third parties/subcontractors.
  • Cooperate in the preparation of technical papers, rules, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in subsea/offshore engineering projects, with a proven track record in leading technical engineering activities, will be considered a plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of structural analysis techniques and relevant software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS).
  • Good knowledge in CAD software for layout design (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
  • Good level of Italian English (both written and spoken).
