Job Description We are expanding our sales team across Europe for a market leader in Ductile Iron Pipes and are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join us.
In this dynamic role, you will blend technical expertise with sales acumen to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional service to our customers.
Your role will be pivotal in driving business growth by understanding customer needs, providing innovative solutions, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Engineering, to achieve your goals and contribute to the company's success.
Duties and Responsibilities · Ensure timely resolution of all customer complaints within a seven-day timeframe.
Establish an online complaint-tracking system to enhance efficiency.
· Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential customers, offering expert technical support and solutions.
· Deliver product demonstrations and training sessions, highlighting the benefits and applications of ductile iron pipes and fittings.
· Identify and develop new business opportunities preparing technical presentations and proposals to potential customers.
· Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
· Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence product improvements.
· Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
· Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and events to network and stay updated on market trends.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and technical issues in the CRM system.
· Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the sales manager.
The Individual Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related fields preferred).
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the ductile iron pipes and fittings industry or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge of ductile iron pipes and fittings and their applications is an advantage.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Ability to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
