The work location will be in the new mass production facility in Catania for the production of SiC substrate wafers, this facility will be the first of its kind in Europe for the volume production of SiC epitaxial substrates, integrating all stages of the production flow. production.A strong link is maintained with STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, based in Norrköping, Sweden, with training and collaboration opportunities on site. STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, formerly Norstel AB, is ST's center of expertise in SiC materials technology: the company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linköping University and since 2006 in a dedicated production facility in Norrköping.KEY RESPONSABILITIESThe selected person will be responsible for maintaining and supervising production and processes, good predisposition for teamwork.The main activity will be in the area called clean-room, where the wafer cleaning and finishing step take place, and in the grinding and slicing of ingots, with the following tasks: Practical work with processes and tools used in SiC semiconductor technologyConduct systematic troubleshooting of processes and equipmentMake decisions in the production area to ensure production continuity and qualityTrain operators and technicians.Ensure process robustness and stability by managing equipment control charts, instrument alarms and fault detectionSupport research and development projectsContribute to improving yield and industrializing processesProfile (candidate's skills)Both junior and senior profiles will be evaluated, with the following backgrounds and characteristics:Dynamic person, available with shift working hours.Experience with computer numerical control (CNC) machines (use and troubleshooting) is desirable.Semiconductor processing experience and flow knowledge is a plusExcellent craftsmanship, precision and attention to detailGood knowledge of the English language is preferredGood communicator, capable of creating good relationships and working in harmony with peopleCommitted, tenacious and curiousThe Job Search is aimed at candidates of both sexes, pursuant to Law 10.04.1991 n. 125, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 198/2006 which guarantees gender equality at workWe encourage candidates who may not meet every single requirement to apply, as we appreciate diverse perspectives and provide opportunities for growth and learning.
