In this role, you will lead the supplier strategy for the assigned commodity, in collaboration with all the internal stakeholders and you will be responsible for the related execution.
You will be responsible for achieving the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
As a **Commodity Buyer**, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing long term strategies for the assigned commodity, ensuring best performance for NPI and OTR procurement
- Integrating commodity strategies into product leadership, engineering and manufacturing objectives.
- Defining and executing commodity strategy to support main service drivers as on time delivery and convertibility.
- Being the point of reference for Manufacturing and Engineering for product strategy of the assigned commodity (e.g.
make/buy; BCC; etc)
- Developing negotiation strategies and leading negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives of supply chain for Single PO as well as Strategic Partnership
- Negotiating and issuing purchase orders with suppliers achieving lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs
- Developing sourcing initiatives for cost out program, deflation, cycle reduction, BCC Sourcing and cash flow improvement (e.g.
rebate, payment terms)
- Leveraging S&OP data to match and optimizing supplier capacity with business goals
- For NPI and Vendor List driving supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management with support of engineering, product leadership or other sourcing team in accordance with the business strategy
**Required Qualifications**:
- Have a Bachelor's/Master degree in Engineering or Economics with experience in Procurement or Commodity Management
- Be fluent both in English and Italian, both in writing and speaking
- Show excellent all-round communication and influencing skills
- Display analytical mindset with a proven ability to resolve problems and identify solutions
- Have strong oral and written communication skills
- Show positive attitude to embrace change and see challenge as opportunity
