JOB PURPOSEReporting directly to the Senior Manager, Leather Goods Production Planning and Control, the Production Planner Coordinator will be responsible for the short to medium term planning of production processes for vendors. The person will provide actions and information to support LG production set up, schedules and deliveries in a manner that is congruent with the critical path and objectives of the business unit, with a specific focus on meeting production KPIs and on-time delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIESDefine and prioritise the allocation of products to manufacturers, managing external production capacityLiaise with Procurement on a daily basis to ensure the feasibility of the production plan by monitoring raw material stock levelsEnsure adequate planning and monitoring of leather goods production, proposing trade-offs where necessary due to limited raw material resourcesManage Stealth activities related to work and sales order creation and manufacturer managementReceive weekly orders from Sourcing and provide planning feedbackLiaise with Order Management to ensure timely receipt of orders and manage re-timingLiaise with the start-up team to contribute to and monitor the critical path for the start-up phaseMonitor production plan and finished goods deliveries through daily interaction with vendors and production control teamEnsure data accuracy is maintainedPrepare different analyses and reports: on department and vendor performance, timing of deliveries and adherence to lead times, causes of delays and production capacity forecastsLiaise with Product Engineering for BOMs and technical informationManage and upload price listsPERSONAL PROFILEBachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering is preferredProven experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment, with specific experience in supplier management and planning activitiesStrong analytical skills requiredHigh level of proficiency in MS Office applications - Excel essentialExperience of using spreadsheets for data analysis and reportingKnowledge of SAP, Sedapta, Stealth 3K, SQL, Power BI, Access a plusSolid functional knowledge of ERP software with a preference for SAPFluency in English is essentialExcellent verbal/written communication and time management skillsProven leadership with excellent communication skillsAn open minded approach to work combined with a strong problem solving orientationFOOTERBurberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
