I confirm that all information submitted in my application is accurate to the best of my knowledge.Job OverviewPreferred consideration will be given to candidates belonging to protected categories (law n. 68/99)Position: Plant & Process EngineerLocation: PisaPRIMARY OBJECTIVESAssist the Process & Plant Engineering site Lead in executing routine and extraordinary tasks assigned to the engineering team.Facilitate project expansion initiatives.Ensure continuous production operations.Enhance and develop technological assets.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate vendor and contractor management to support project execution and production efficiency.Contribute to the manufacturing facility strategy and capital project roadmap in alignment with the Process and Plant Engineering site Lead.Assist in quality audit inspections and local EHS program implementation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Conduct feasibility studies on plant and process equipment.Accountable for analyzing and defining equipment capacity models.Support maintenance assessments for new equipment and assist in updating preventive maintenance programs in collaboration with the Maintenance Department.Work closely with the Maintenance Department and other operational teams to resolve process equipment issues.Assist the Engineering site Lead in the local implementation of global engineering initiatives.Support the deployment of global engineering standard operating procedures (SOPs).Manage local engineering SOPs, ensuring all documentation is current and meets technical, quality, and safety standards.Participate in the analysis and execution of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in coordination with other site functions.Be available for on-call service as necessary.Assist the site engineering lead with budget management.Oversee change control and take ownership of new implementation projects.Responsible for pest control systems in collaboration with the quality department.Manage water and energy facility operations, monitoring, and optimization projects.DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTSTechnical/Functional ExpertiseAccountable for operational outcomes.Responsible for the life cycle management of production equipment.Leadership (Vision, strategy alignment, people management, communication, change management)Lead cross-functional teams for project execution.Manage the process team to promptly address and resolve operational challenges.Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for technical assessments and implementations.Identify opportunities beyond the immediate role and encourage others to adopt innovative practices.Foster a collaborative environment within the engineering team, promoting constructive discussions.Make and implement decisions based on sound business judgment.Decision-Making and Autonomy (Authority to make organizational decisions, complexity of decisions, impact of decisions)Exercise autonomy in decision-making during engineering projects, reporting and escalating issues to higher management as needed.Collaboration (Nature of engagement with others):Strong collaboration with manufacturing and quality departments regarding change control and compliance.Innovation (Required level of scientific knowledge, knowledge sharing, risk-taking)Maintain a continuous improvement mindset.Implement digital initiatives in partnership with the Automation Department.Complexity (Product management, business mix, internal/external environment)Manage process engineering within a biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing context.Possess expertise in bioprocess engineering, systems, equipment, and automation.EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS:Bachelor's degree in engineering.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.Strong teamwork abilities.IT Skills:Proficient in Office Suite tools.Familiarity with commonly used industrial ERP software (SAP and JDEdwards).Knowledge of popular project management software.Basic understanding of cloud-based data access and sharing tools.Able to analyze and interpret test results.About Us:At Takeda, we are dedicated to transforming patient care through the development of innovative specialty pharmaceuticals and exemplary patient support programs.
