Create a better tomorrow with us. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to be hired with a permanent contract in Rome within the Smart Infrastructure Buildings area, Sustainability segment.

Your ChallengeReporting to the Head of Sustainability Italy you will support execution of strategic analysis, strategy definition, business planning and implementation of all activities required for growth of the Sustainability business.
Some of the main activities will be to: Demonstrate and communicate a complete understanding of Siemens' Sustainability portfolio technologies through an experienced knowledge of building applications functionality, end-user operations and customer requirements. Develop Sustainability energy saving projects opportunities. Handle customer relationship and promote sophisticated solutions. Be in charge of creating proposal, budget, negotiating contract, preparing needed files for bidding, and estimating the costs. Develop comprehensive proposals that include technical solutions, BOQ, costing, financial solutions, overall cost savings and payback/return on investment calculations. Secure opportunities and receive orders from customers, meeting annual Sustainability business targets (i.e., OI, margin, revenue, etc). Develop business solutions including the retrofit, repair and modernization of facilities infrastructure with focus on energy performance and efficiency. Conduct presentation and contract negotiation for mid to large energy performance-based contracting. Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop, effectively sell, and implement all Energy Service offerings, ensuring business plans and financial goals are met. Identify and/or support acquisition and business development activities with key customers in selected vertical markets. Maintain standard monthly reporting systems for financial, sales, and operations performance on business. To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have: Degree in Engineering is preferred, together with proven commercial skills. Proven experience in building technology/automation sector or 3+ years direct experience with energy efficiency services sector in commercial building space preferred. Previous sales support, business development, or B2C sales experience a plus. Knowledge in project lifecycles, partners management. A decision maker with good communication skills, aggressive and growth mindset. This individual must possess an outgoing personality, be able to present themselves and Siemens in a professional and positive way and work well in a team environment. Plus: IT/IoT, Solar PV, energy storage, CHP system. Expected travel: Up to 50%. Passion to never-stop growing. Respect and appreciation of each person's uniqueness, willingness to co-create and share knowledge. Proficiency in English and Italian. Eligibility to work in Italy.
