If you have any questions about this vacancy or the application process, please email us at: ****** Hauptaufgaben Incumbent operates all classes and types of motor vehicles, including Supply Class VII rolling stocks, M88, Recovery vehicles, all Models-Series and semi-tractors-trailer units, MRAPs, MMTV Tractors, on and off post.
Incumbent is responsible for all movements of Class VII & IX within Depot Area, including location changes, moving vehicles to/from storage areas, staging vehicles for exercises on contingency operations, or by loading on a semi-trailer, in this case incumbent will oversee loading to insure cargo is properly distributed, located and secured and the truck weight capability is not exceed; checks for proper blocking and bracing.
Operates wheeled and tracked vehicles carefully to avoid injuring other employees or damaging equipment or property.
Is responsible for the careful handling of the two breaking systems to prevent the vehicle from jackknifing.
Incumbent is required to be extremely careful when driving heavy equipment on highways, he has to quickly react to the directives received by the convoy leader and by the police escorting the convoy, maintaining clearance distance between vehicles.
Operates forklifts of all sizes to include telescopic boom model to unload, ship, receive and re-warehouse all Classes of Supply.
Regulates fork and gears exercising care to avoid overloading or improper loading or movement of material.
Operates boom crane up to 60 (40) tons capability to load/ unload vehicles as required.
Operates one or more types of engineer equipment, such as bulldozers, road graders and the like, to fine grade slopes, inclines, ramps, curves, and excavations by scraping, scooping, rolling, or leveling on rough and rocky terrain or in other words, for the purpose for which the individual equipment is intended or designed.
Is responsible to selects material for shipment on issue, proceeds to storage area, finds items to be shipped /issued and verifies information, shown on shipping/issue documents against the information attached to the stored item.
Is responsible for maintaining updated locations report, following instructions, referring timely any change.
Removes proper number of items assuring the quantity, model and identification numbers of selected stocks are in accordance with shipping documents.
Issues and verifies information, shown on work order documents against the information attached to the stored item.
Removes proper number of items assuring the quantity, model and identification numbers (NSN) of selected stocks be in accordance with work order documents.
Makes required entries on storage, shipping and receiving documents in accordance with provided instructions.
Incumbent is responsible for exercising all Class VII rolling stock, exercising is performed on a cyclic basis as required by regulation; it may consist, but is not limited to brakes, wheels exercising.
Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 0700 TO 1600, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break.
