Join us in our exciting quest to build the future home All about the role: We are looking for the Mechanical Development Engineer to work as part of the Mechanics & NVH Team in the Care Laboratory community where the focus is to create consumer experience defining technologies and functionalities able to deliver product performances according to legislation and target specifications. In detail you will: Perform product testing of mechanical components according to specification, timing, and resources on Washing Machines, Washer Dryers, Tumble Dryers, and Dishwashers and ensure test report working out. Maintain relevant test manuals and procedures inside the mechanical laboratory and collaborate in developing test or data analysis methods to improve mechanical quality and speed up project testing. Support the alignment on test methodologies across the different regions. Actively support innovative approaches and continuous improvements. Deploy mechanical specifications for machines, modules, and components. Support Lab organization in the development of internal procedures and tools in the area of product testing. Be part of Product Development together with R&D partners and stakeholders. Test product performance according to international and internal standards in the area of mechanical laboratory. Guarantee preparation, maintenance, storage of testing material and testing products. Verify product functionality and cycle compliance during testing execution. Report anomalies, unexpected operations, and events worthy of note during test execution. Generate improvement and innovation proposals. Support internal network of global and regional laboratories and an external network of recognized laboratories for test activities, measurements, and instrument calibrations. Who you are: Mechanical degree and/or similar experience (min 3 years). Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisition systems, testing procedures, and evaluations of results. Knowledge of software programming with advanced competence in Matlab/Python and common Windows applications; LMS-Siemens is a plus. Knowledge of statistical methods and tools. Good communication skills. Where you will be: You will be based in Porcia, located in the metropolitan area of Pordenone (Northeast Italy), where the main Electrolux R&D centre is located. Here, in a dynamic environment, we develop and test domestic appliances such as Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Washer Dryers, and Tumble Dryers.
