A job adapted to your career ambitions and in which you could have an impact for the years to come?We are looking for a Ground Station System Engineer to work at work on our Client's premises in Rome, Italy, on the development of a Ground Station and Ground Station as a Service for multiple Earth Observation satellite missions .This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 ("Rules for the right to work of disabled people").Questa posizione e' aperta alle categorie protette L. 68/99.Tasks and activities The scope of work will include:Engineering of Ground Stations and Ground Stations-as-a-Service (GSaaS) within FOS.Ground Station and GSaaS interfaces control management.Technical management of Ground Station and GSaaS supply.Support to Ground Station and GSaaS integration, verification and validation.Production and review of relevant documentation.Support design reviews and technical meetings on RF, networking, software, interfaces relevant to the Ground Station and GSaaS.Skills and experience The following skills and experience are mandatory:University Degree or equivalent preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering.General knowledge of Ground Segment Architecture and its main components.Sounding knowledge of Ground Stations Architecture.Knowledge of Radio Frequency systems design and development.Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing.Knowledge of computer systems (Linux in particular), programming languages and networking.Knowledge of space communication protocols layers (e.g., from the physical layer up to the application layer of the ISO/OSI Reference Model).Knowledge of CCSDS and ECSS space communication protocols standards (Sync and Channel Coding, Space Data Link, Space Packet Protocol (SPP), Encapsulation Packet Protocol, Space Data Link Security Protocol (SDLS), Space Link Extension (SLE), Packet Utilization Standard (PUS)).Knowledge of other communication protocols is an asset (e.g., MQTT, CAN-bus/CANopen, LVDS, RS422).High motivation, proactive working approach and strong sense of responsibilityDesire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.Solution-oriented mindset, with a customer-focused communication skill.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Why should you apply?
