The company is in strong development in Italy and abroad and Planet Farmers today work at the production plant - the brand new and upcoming Cirimido Plant (Como, Italy) at the R&D Center on the outskirts of Milan, as well as at offices in Italy (Milan), Portugal (Coimbra), the United Kingdom (London) and the Netherlands (Eindhoven).
We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist who will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain. This role requires analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and in-depth knowledge of supply chain management practices in the food industry. He/she will actively collaborate with production, customer care, sales, purchasing, and management control.
Activities: LOGISTICSCoordinate and optimize logistics operations, both inbound and outbound, in accordance with predefined schedulesCoordinate with the logistics, production, and sales departments to ensure the highest level of customer serviceMonitor and evaluate the performance of logistics suppliers and implement corrective actions when necessaryDevelop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and logistics partnersManage any logistics crisesImplement new Italian and foreign logistics flows when they become necessaryPROCUREMENTMonitor inventory levels and plan procurement to avoid shortages or surpluses, ensuring timely delivery and required qualityAnalyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutionsCollaborate on the implementation of the ERP system and the application for inventory managementManage and organize periodic inventoriesAdditionally, he will need to collaborate with management control in creating detailed reports illustrating operational performance and proposing improvements.
Knowledge: Degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or equivalent experienceAt least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the fresh-cut produce sectorSkills: Ability to use ERP software and other supply chain management toolsExcellent proficiency in the Office suiteExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressureProactivity and results orientationLanguage skills: Excellent spoken and written English
