**Duties**:
- Safety and Occupational Health Manager for a brigade-sized unit with responsibility for planning, managing, and administering a safety and occupational health program.
- Plans, prepares, staffs, and submits to relevant organizations training requests, schedules, waivers, and memorandums impacting training attendance or execution.
- Serves as technical expert to identify, analyze, and provide risk management control measures for life-threatening hazards.
- Assesses the effectiveness of the Safety Program to identify strengths and weaknesses and develops methods and techniques to improve operational and systemic deficiencies.
- Provides training and technical expertise to support training readiness to effectively train all Brigade Soldiers and Civilians with emphasis on the Intelligence Warfighter.
- Provides training advice and guidance based on professional expertise in training regulations, training policies, and training databases.
- Develops and presents relevant lesson plans, support materials, lessons learned, and risk management information for instructional use and in preparation for deployment into an Area of Operations.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- May be required to perform Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time on an annual basis.

- In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.- Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
