As a Junior Payments Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing and processing financial transactions while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to maintain smooth payment operations and support the company's financial goals.
In this role you will be responsible for: Payment Processing: Execute manual and automated supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reconciliation: Assist with month-end reconciliations as part of SOX compliance process.
Cashflow Management: Support cash forecasting efforts to ensure liquidity for ongoing operations.
Bank Relations: Address banking issues and liaise with the Group Treasury team to facilitate effective solutions.
Compliance and Obligations: Ensure the accurate and timely payment of statutory obligations, including taxes, pensions, and other regulatory requirements.
Audits and Reporting: Assist the AP Supervisor during audits and prepare reports on payment activities.
Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancing payment workflows and ensure adherence to best practices in financial operations.
Requirements Technical Skills Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Between 1 to 2 years of experience in payment processing, treasury or accounts payable roles.
Knowledge of compliance regulations, including SOX and local statutory obligations is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.
Knowledge of Netsuite will be considered an asset.
