Chiesi Research & Development

Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business. It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, chemical manufacturing and controls, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management. Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden) and Toronto (Canada).

Who we are looking for

Purpose
- To monitor potential sources of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) both at corporate and local level
- To carry out the Global Pharmacovigilance Operations (GPV Ops) activities related to post-marketing (PM) Organized Data Collection Systems (ODCSs)
- To monitor post-marketing operations activities related to ODCSs at affiliate level

Main Responsibilities

Support the Post-Market Unit and GPV Ops PM Head (or delegate) in the management of the following:

- Non-interventional studies and other organized data collections (e.g. not limited to study protocols, request for proposal, clinical study reports, AE/ADR coding listings, study configuration in the safety database, (e)AE form creation, web portals, PV Service Agreements with monitoring CRO, preparation of PV documents stored in the (e)TMF)
- Quality product complaints and medical enquiries
- Company sponsored controlled websites/Apps and other social media at both corporate and local level
- Oversight of the weekly literature monitoring for corporate products and oversight of the local ones
- Monitoring of the EMA and other international websites and oversight the local monitoring carried out at affiliate level
- PV operations activities of Contract Research Organizations (CROs)/other service providers

**In addition**:

- Perform quality check of PV documents
- Maintain compliance to relevant regulations, policies and procedures
- Oversight Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) from non-interventional studies and ODCS from receipt to submission, as needed, (interaction with monitoring Contract Research Organizations - CROs)
- Perform cases reconciliation activities with external (e.g. CRO, service providers) and internal stakeholders (e.g. Medical, Legal, Manufacturing)
- Support the Global Pharmacovigilance Operations Third Parties Specialists and the Case medical review physician for activities performed by Pharmacovigilance Service Providers (PVSPs)
- Support the GPV Ops PM Head (or delegate) in defining the PV Service Agreement
- Upload PV documents in the EDMS
- Fill in the relevant registers for Pharmacovigilance System Master File update
- Handle Post-Market safety reports as contingency plan
- Open deviations related to the activities under the role and contribute to the investigation(s) and CAPA Plan implementation
- Operate as backup for specific activities according to GPV Ops PM Head (or delegate) indications
- Participate in audit and inspection activities

Experience Required

Minimum 1 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance within Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industry, with at least 1 years of experience in Post-Market safety

Education

Master degree in science, medicine, biology, pharmacy or related fields

Languages
