**ROLE SUMMARY**:
The International School of Modena is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced early years classroom teacher to support our developing early years community. As an IB continuum school, the IB Primary Years Programme represents the curriculum framework. The school also has a unique relationship with the nearby Loris Malaguzzi International Centre for Childhood in Reggio Emilia and the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Years Education informs and inspires the approach to learning and teaching in practice.- We are looking for teachers who show a high level of initiative, flexibility, creativity, organisational skills in caring for and providing safe and enriching educational experiences for 3-5 year olds.- Our school is made up of a strong team of professionals who have built a uniquely collaborative environment. - Located in the attractive and rural countryside, approximately 15 minutes from the city of Modena, the doors of the International School of Modena open every day to approximately 230 students of around 34 nationalities. A perfect structure for collaborative inquiry-driven study, an environment that will help them to grow to become active citizens of “a world without frontiers”. Our unique and stimulating campus, surrounded by open countryside, boasts an attractive design and excellent sport facilities, and is an ideal learning environment for students aged 3 and beyond.- IS Modena is a fully authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum school offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP, ages 3-11), Middle Years Programme (MYP, ages 11-16) and Diploma Programme (DP, ages 16-18). We endeavour to deliver the International Baccalaureate programmes together with the school’s core values and the IB’s Learner Profile embodied in everything that we do. Both the school and the group to which it belongs, have an established record of success in the IB, from age 3 all the way through to admission to the world’s leading universities at age 18.- Perhaps most of note is the sense of collaboration that exists amongst all members of the school community. This is most evident in the way in which our highly qualified teachers and inquisitive students work towards a common goal of academic success which is seamlessly balanced with an inherent commitment to active global citizenship at every level.-
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Our teachers are allocated a specific class for the academic year, with the flexibility to adjust to other year-groups when required. They are skilled in teaching a range of abilities within their classes. They embrace diversity, within our international setting, ensuring that learning is inclusive of students of all nationalities, profiles and linguistic abilities. They ensure that student agency is at the centre of the learning experience, encouraging innovation and creativity, within a caring and principled learning environment.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
- Five year Laurea Magistrale Scienze della Formazione Primaria, which is integrated with a specialisation course in Early Childhood education, B.Ed/BA, BSc in Primary Education with specialisation in Early Years and where age group is clearly stated on certification, eg. B.Ed Primary (3-12, 4-12), BA/Bed, BSc.- Early Years Education, Undergraduate Degree and PGCE/PGDE Primary (3 or 4 to 12 clearly stated)- Recent experience in teaching Early Years (ages 3-5)
- To be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of a valid visa that enables to work in Italy.
- To have an excellent command of the English language (an understanding of Italian is also preferable);
