**The Role**

Working to the Chief Communications Officer, as part of the Marketing and Communications department and in-market Commercial team, Volta Trucks is seeking ambitious Marketing and Communications Managers for its European launch markets (UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands) to develop and maintain the awareness, credibility and confidence in Volta Trucks. As a relatively new brand, this is an opportunity to be part of the team that shapes and establishes the company in a market from the outset.

In coordination with global and local teams, this role will input to, and implement, engaging Marketing, Event and PR activity to showcase the company's products and services to appeal to target audiences within a market. In addition, strategies to support its manufacturing operations, business plan, and enhance the profile of senior management will be developed and managed.

Due to the innovative positioning of Volta Trucks, this role doesn't necessarily require previous automotive experience. The most important criteria is a Marketing and Communications expert with B2B experience and a non-traditional approach, delivering customer communication opportunities in a transparent, progressive, and entrepreneurial manner to reflect the brand personality.

These are full-time roles with a mix of remote and office-based working, with some domestic and international travel. This role is perfect for a proactive, independent, roll-up-the-sleeves and results-driven individual and who has a great approach to teamwork and collaboration.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Design, develop and implement the local in-market Marketing and Communication strategy, aligned with the global strategy, to support delivery of the company's objectives and regional pipeline goals.
- Partner with the regional Business Developer Managers, acting as the primary liaison with the global Marketing and Communications team to ensure ongoing agreement on priorities, and recommend adjustments to accommodate changing market conditions.
- Provide local Marketing and Communication insights and input into global strategy and process, and implement global and local Marketing and Communications activity.
- In conjunction with global teams, input and manage local language and localised content production, developing a positive and consistent perception of the product, brand, and services globally.
- Recommendation, selection and delivery of local market Marketing and Events opportunities, providing insights on areas of optimization, business outcomes, and return on investment.
- Ongoing local PR media relations, media outreach and sell-in to support editorial positioning in corporate, business and trade-focused press.
- Research, recommend, and drive targeted marketing plans that bring together global programs, regional opportunities, customer marketing, and partner activities.
- Evaluate, select, and manage vendors that contribute to regional marketing programs.
- Manage budgets within pre-defined limits

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree or similar, preferably in Marketing or Communications
- At least five years of marketing experience, some of which will have been delivered in a B2B environment.
- Experience working with and managing third-party agencies etc.
- Experience working with journalists and the media
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- A digital mindset, with a working knowledge of social media tools.
- Knowledge of Marketing compliance regulations such as GDPR etc.
- Strong oral, editing and written skills in local and English language.
- Experience of networking with colleagues, senior management, agencies, and external influencers
