**Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026** is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
**Position**:
We are looking for **LOGISTICS SPECIAL PROJECT COORDINATOR.**
- The Logistics Special Project Coordinator_ will be responsible for coordinating all the logistics project and activities for all the clients related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The role is crucial in ensuring the smooth communication and integration of all logistics activities to ensure fulfilment of stakeholder requirements, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics operations while maintaining high service levels and customers satisfaction.
The identified resource will be responsible for:
- Coordinate the activities related to all clients, covering the needs of different stakeholders from the planning phase and during Games Time.
- Coordinate all logistics aspects of the main projects for the Games: torch relay, antidoping control, medals, arrivals and departures, ceremonies, uniforms, firearms and ammunitions, paralympic transition, etc.
- Support in the definition of all levels of services for different client groups such as broadcasters, press, photographers, athletes and team officials, official Partners, Olympic family members, etc.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to meet client demands and internal requirements ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services during all phases.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness and analyse client demands to anticipate future logistics needs and make proactive adjustments to the supply chain.
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with other functions to coordinate activities ensuring a high level of customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues related to logistics operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications and facilitate effective communication between internal and external teams and project stakeholders. Ensure that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure effective communication and information flow within the logistics team and prepare regular status reports for project stakeholders, highlighting progress and any potential issues.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree management engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is typically preferred. However, equivalent experience or specialized training in logistics and operations management can also be considered.
- Proven experience of more than 5 years in logistics operations management, preferably with a focus on project management.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Leadership abilities with experience in managing different stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyse data, and make informed decisions to optimize logistics operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure, adapting to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges.
