**Main Purpose of the Job**:
Support the compliance process of Perfetti Van Melle confectionery products (mainly chewing gum and candies) with laws and technical standards applicable in LATAM Region (South & Central America)

**Main Activities & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor, gathering and study food and labeling regulations/standards, coordinating with Group Regulatory and sharing with the Organization;
- Ensure the compliance of products with national food legislation/standards of the territories involved (verifying ingredients, nutritional information, raw materials, checking product labels for approval, claims, etc.);
- Prepare and issue ingredients lists and nutrition information upon recipe shared by R&D and RM compliance;
- Regulatory database for IL/NI preparation, labelling rules and additives;
- Work closely with Marketing in order to support in project development providing advice;
- Participate and attend meetings with trade/category association to support the company position
- Liaise and discuss with authorities when necessary (e.g. prepare petition letters, ask for legislative interpretation, ask for advice, support in case of regulatory objections also during the import/registration process, etc.);
- Text translation for labelling preparation;
- Connect with distributors to manages possible regulatory issues or provide advice/information on products;
- Internal data and document collection, double check the compliance of the documents prepared internally by the manufacturing factories with the legislation applicable in the countries of destination
- Provide support advice on advertisement, promotional material and toys.

**Requirements & Skills**:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in Regulatory Affairs in multinational companies or in attorney offices, both operating in the food industry;
- Degree in Master’s Degree in Food Technology; Master’s Degree Chemistry; Master’s Degree Biology;
- **Spanish mother tongue or excellent knowledge of Spanish** and fluent English;
- Knowledge of food laws with a specific focus on labelling and additives;
- Some experience of working and liaising with authorities;
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines;
- Good communication skills and negotiating ability;
- Effectively cooperates and communicates across the company and the Departments;
- High degree of self-organization and detail-orientation;
- Analyzes context and issues;
- Manages confidential information;
- Quick learner of new concepts in different areas;
- Combines scientific knowledge with legal aspects.
