Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

Thales Navigation And non-radar Surveillance (NAS) business segment, part of the Thales Land and Air Systems Global Business Unit, architects solutions used by two-thirds of all planes worldwide to take off and land safely. Our Ground Navigation portfolio offers a complete range of products, which includes the latest generation of ground-based navigational aids (NAVAIDS) (e.g. ILS, DME, TACAN, VOR) and non-radar surveillance (e.g. ADS-B). With more than 7,000 NAVAIDS and non-radar surveillance installed worldwide in 172 countries, we are world leaders in the NAVAIDS market.

We are currently looking for an IVVQ to join Thales Land and Air Systems in its NAS Center of Competence **Gorgonzola (near Milan).**

**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**:
As an IVVQ Manager within Thales, you will manage all the tests activities and:

- Ensure that the overall IVVQ strategy is defined and maintained
- Tailor the IVVQ environment (process, practices and tools, HSE)
- Coordinate IVVQ activities, establishing priorities and integration logical diagrams, conducting tests, analysing results and transmitting them to development teams
- Be part of technical facts (problem report ) commission (i.e. JIRA)
- Monitor IVVQ performance using KPIs and perform corrective actions when required
- Ensure that the IVVQ activities are performed with satisfaction of all external and internal customers
- Define test platforms
- Monitor the Test Progress
- Consolidate and Report the Test Results
- Contribute to qualification/ acceptance/ certification
- Support capitalisation activities for the department as well as lessons learned
- Be involved in budgeting and scheduling for offers
- Ensure unambiguous test ability of requirement

The role could require some travels abroad

**Profile**:

- You graduated from an Engineering School with a Master’s degree and you have 5 or more years’ experience in IVVQ
- You are in a position of IVVQ Manager and know how to create and execute IVVQ complex test plans and procedures
- You want to oversee the management of all IVVQ activities—meaning choosing and managing appropriate methods, resources, and means to execute IVVQ complex test plans and procedures
- You want to deliver robust solutions to satisfy customers and build strong relationship with them
- You are a self-motivated leader, willing to engage and develop your team using collaborative work and challenging approaches
- You are customer focused: you want to deliver value or solutions to the customer and are committed to delivery
- You know how to lead and manage projects from start to end and you are able to:

- You have an excellent verbal and written communication skills, good negotiation skills and a recognised capacity to convince all types of stakeholders

**Competencies**:

- Have a basic knowledge of Navaids equipment’s such as ILS, VOR, TACAN, DMEand in the technical field of air traffic management and on the various regulations / standards such as EN, ICAO or specific local standards.
- Knowledge of Software / Hardware safety assurance standards: EUROCAE ED-109A (RTCA DO-278A), EUROCAE ED-80 (RTCA DO-254), EUROCAE ED-153
- Proficient in the use of issue tracking software (e.g. Jira)
- Proficient in the use of requirement and tests management tools (e.g. DOORS, VIVALDI)
- English and Italian fluent is a must, ability to speak additional languages as German or French is a benefit.
