**JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Reporting directly to the Retail Italy Lens Category Manager, is responsible for defining the assortment for the assigned perimeter.
- Monitors and manages assortment in order to achieve category financial performance.
- Participates in product selection and planning stages, product launch and prepares cost, margin and full stock life cycle reporting.
- Collaborates with the Marketing division in the design of promotional campaigns that take into account the data analyzed and identifies action plans, aligned with business needs, for the relevant category.**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES**:

- Defines contact lens and liquid portfolio with prioritization for business; plans, new product launches in the category;
- Provides support to stores, area managers and retail planning for proper product sourcing (coding, price review, flow review, warehouse support, accounting support, etc...);
- Provides assistance to stores on product issues;
- Proposes promotional actions, based on the reports managed, in order to ensure the economic result, in line with the defined targets and KPI's and maximize the gross margin for its product category;
- Monitors purchasing performance to achieve contract awards and targets in collaboration with finance;
- Coordinates and supports activities (campaigns, training, store specific activities, contests) on the category to maximize supplier investments (Training, marketing, store operations);
- Informs and participates, in collaboration with P&C Learning & Development, in the creation of training modules on the product category;

- INTERNAL: Lens Category Retail Italy, Management Retail Italy, Store Operations, Marketing and Training; Sourcing and Procurement at a corporate level, Supply Chain
- EXTERNAL: Suppliers**TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE**:

- 1/3 years of experience in structured industry settings
- Work experience in Merchandising and Category management
- Retail experience
- Knowledge of the Contact Lenses category/industry (Ophthalmic Lenses as a Plus)
- High energy and positive approach to work
- Excellent organizational and work planning skills
