**Job Description Summary**: At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business Unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

Within the Military Customer Support Organization, as Engine Technical Consultant you will be located at Customer’s military base.

This role will require your permanent presence at Customer’s premises with the primary task of providing direct support on technical and logistic aspects and you will be the reference person and the direct interface between Avio Aero and Customer.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Manage, as primary interface, any concerns and technical evidences arising from maintenance activities on Engines and Modules at Customer site
- Investigate for problem identification and propose possible solutions to support Customer in their final decision
- Proactively support on potential technical issue analysis, arising from the maintenance activities and support in drafting QA (Query Answer) and RDR (Re-use Deviation Report) when necessary
- Prepare work planning activities (create and issue engine/modules inspection certificate) and manage both “as design” and “as maintained” engine data and their consistency/compliance among the Support Systems and Log Book
- Register engine work performed and alignment of engine documentation in accordance with the work performed and recorded on the inspection certificate (Engine and Modules)
- Support engine test with engine configuration data and understand data resulting from engine test required to be recorded into the engine logbook documentation
- Support to evaluate and define any improving maintenance procedures as well as measuring methods iaw inspection requirements for ML2 and ML3 activities

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a high school diploma with previous solid experience in similar role
- Thorough knowledge of aeroengines, its maintenance modularity, accessories functionality, monitoring systems as well as interfaces with aircraft
- Knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) environment and related processes
- Knowledge of configuration control rules, processes and procedures
- Ability to read and understand Nomenclature Catalogues, engine Technical Publications, regulations and applicable procedures (maintenance manuals, parts catalog, calibration procedures) as well as Change Proposal, Technical disposition and Repair Schemes/Instruction
- Customer mindset and ability to maintain a connection between Customer and Industry
- Knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English languaages
- Eligible for NATO Security Clearance

**Desired Characteristics**
- Knowledge of EJ200 engine, modules, accessories installations and AGE
- Knowledge and understanding of Engine Logbook structure, content and configuration data for consultation and analysis of Engine and Engine Parts data
- Basic knowledge of national regulation issued by IT MoD related to airworthiness / flight safety regulations and compliance as well as international documents of EJ200 Programme
- Knowledge of NAM (Normativa Aeronautica Militare) and National Quality Directives AER(EP).P-P145 (EMAR 145)
- Knowledge of bespoke IT systems & tools (SiLEF, SAP, etc)
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Leading improvement initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
