Overview:
**Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)** is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.
As a partner section, **MSF Italy** is engaged in saving lives and alleviating suffering through fundraising; communication and advocacy, recruitment and deployment of field workers; as well as running operations in Italy and supporting international operations through expertise and other kinds of direct support.

The **Public Engagement Unit** has the task of developing and implementing a strategy for public awareness and engagement of the public on the Italian territory through awareness campaigns, educational projects, events national events, strategic partnerships and relationships with high-profile "MSF Friends."

The **Events and Press Officer** is responsible for the design and implementation of events on issues strategic to the organization while also coordinating related promotion and Press office activities. S/he is also responsible for identifying festivals and exhibitions of interest to the organization with the aim of proposing and agreeing on MSF's participation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, implement and promote national events, ensuring consistency in their organization to the principles of MSF Italy and ensuring the achievement of the objectives of audience engagement set;
- Ensure the production and storage of information and outreach materials (material promotion, set-ups, etc.) within the budget assigned to it;
- Ensure the involvement of aid workers and speakers in outreach events, coordinating with the Talent Acquisition and Development unit and others involved;
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of "special" projects and awareness-raising campaigns (and the declination of international ones on the Italian territory) and participate interdepartmental working tables on strategic events and initiatives for the organization;
- Work in close collaboration with the local groups area in order to ensure an integrated promotion of events on the Italian territory through support for Press office activities.

Qualifications:

- Academic studies consistent with the objectives of the position
- 3 years experience in similar roles
- Proficiency in Office package
- Full working proficiency in Italian and English (at least B2 level). Knowledge of French is an asset.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative and propose innovative solutions
- Good team player and collaborative attitude

**Conditions**
Contract: Fixed-term contract of 7 months (maternity replacement).
Level II of Italian CCNL of Commerce. Full time 100%
Starting date: 01 September 2024
Location: Hybrid. MSF Italy Rome or Milan office, and from home.
