DHL Supply Chain's Real Estate Solutions (RES) is changing the way DHL's customers locate and design their warehouses to maximize supply chain effectiveness. RES is the real estate investment and development business of DHL Supply Chain, outpacing our competitors in both development and logistics industries alike in 20+ countries. As the world leader in 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) we combine DHL's operational know-how and customer supply chain insights with our real estate development and capital markets expertise.
**What does the RES Business Development Director do?**
As the primary liaison between customers, DHL Supply Chain's Business Developers and the core Real Estate Solutions team, this role drives close collaboration, communication and trust between all stakeholders. This is an exciting and critical role for the business to focus on the expansion of the RES product in Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.

**What will your duties be?**
- Drive DHL Supply Chain's business and growth agenda for the Real Estate Solutions product in the sub-region through the pro-active and early identification of new sales opportunities through all pipelines, as well as relationship management throughout sale and delivery of projects
- Focus on qualification of early opportunities and analyzing existing trends, reports and other relevant Real Estate information
- Organize and prepare quarterly reviews with all sectors to review expiring contracts and leases to formulate potential strategies including RES opportunities as a portfolio refresh
- Strategic Investment - Participate in DHL Supply Chain led quarterly and annual review of country strategy including providing RES team input on potential upcoming logistics markets
- Client Specific - Conduct continuous review of customer pipelines to proactively identify potential business opportunities
- Facilitate awareness/knowledge sharing of the Real Estate Solutions product among internal and external stakeholders, as well as connect stakeholders with RES developers
- Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Solution Design, operations, HR, IT, Real Estate, Legal, Finance, etc.), gather required input and orchestrate actions
- Conduct research (external market, internal sector teams) on strategically prioritized areas, sectors and target accounts for Real Estate Solutions to identify potential areas for business opportunities
- Collect customer requirements to qualify identified opportunities and develop recommendation on pursuit or cancellation based on financial attractiveness, risk and fit of customer requirements with Real Estate Solutions capabilities / strategy
- Identify Real Estate Solutions' value proposition (both for bundled or standalone offerings) and high level solution parameters based on customer requirements
- Plan and recommend a sales process to the Real Estate Solutions developers and orchestrate the team throughout
- Define business fit and help shape the pitch story for Real Estate Solutions development experts to identify the best solution and negotiate RES deals
- Pro-actively identify potential RES opportunities
- Map and assess stakeholders based on systematic pipeline reviews and knowledge of customer strategies, business changes, etc.
- Assess approach and develop case studies through customer feedback
- Collect and share knowledge and best practices (also cross-regions)
**What are we looking for from you?**
If you have breadth and depth of knowledge of the focus markets in the regions, prior business development/sales experience and contract logistics experience then we want to hear from you
- Italian language skills are highly desirable
- Solution development/design experience
- Consulting experience would be beneficial
- Relevant University Degree for example in Business, Architecture, Engineer or Real Estate related field
