**Role description**:
As **Quantity surveyor - Cost manager **you have experience in cost management that comes from the different realities that take part in the development of a construction project (Contractor, design firm, consulting firm, freelancer).

You will perform duties and have responsibilities pertaining to cost development varied from time to time during the design or costruction phases of projects.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Identify prices and cost estimates of various materials needed for the project or parts of the project
- Prepare bid documents, contracts, budgets, metric calculations, and other documentation
- Provide cost information to support the decision or choice of alternatives during project development
- Keep track of changes to design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Procure or arrange for the services of contractors and/or subcontractors working on the construction of the project
- Verify work done on site
- Verify the formal accuracy of accounting records and payments
- Collaborate with the client and other construction professionals inside or outside the organization on the completeness of economic documents
- Write cost reports or other cost documents.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- A degree in a technical discipline, e.g., Civil Engineering/Architecture
- At least **4 years **of previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken **English (B2 minimum)**:

- Experience in large construction projects of medium to high complexity
- Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings in order to perform a metric estimating calculation completely independently.
- Excellent knowledge of **MS Excel **and other specialized software (e.g. Primus).Good Knowledge of Autocad for surveying and computation.
- At least a basic knowledge of **Revit/BIM **methodology
- Knowledge of construction details and techniques
- Good knowledge of technical issues in the construction industry, such as different procurement paths and value engineering
- Excellent interpersonal and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, negotiation skills, detail-oriented approach.
