**Johnson & Johnson Consumer Plant** in Santa Palomba (RM) is looking for an **R&D Senior Scientist** to be hired with a **Permanent **contract.
- Develop technical expertise in product design/formulation and process development/process scale-up
- Operate and lead independent of technical direction
- Lead E2E innovation pipeline execution
- Execute technical project development including scale-up activities and analysis with hands-on involvement
- Participate in cross-functional project team discussions defining and owning end-to-end R&D deliverables (eg : R&D, Business and Supply Chain ) and to define project R&D resources and OOP
- Lead development discussions with external innovation partners securing strategy and compliance through robust technical briefs
- Lead connections with end-to-end R&D functions defining the execution pathway and ensuring deliverables remain on track and supporting technical problem solving
- Provide guidance and solutions to technical problems
- Draft and execute peer-reviewed manuscripts, tech reports
- Data and insights based on risk-taking and decision making
- Follow standards and ensure the department meets quality, medical and regulatory requirements
**Technical Understanding**:
- Solid understanding of formulation technology and chemical science
- Optimize formulated ingredients to meet cost objectives and to manage the availability of raw materials.
- Support daily laboratory operations and schedules. Coordinate with external laboratories at EM’s, Chemical Suppliers, Clinical sites, and testing laboratories, to perform experiments necessary for the creation of products. (if applicable)
- Internal/external partnership management
- Support day-to-day interaction with global Hubs and/or external development partnerships (as needed)
**Qualifications**
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy
- At least 4 years of previous working experience in R&D Reformulation and/or Product Development
- Ability to work independently and in a global environment
- Ability to collaborate with different areas (global cross functional teams, suppliers)
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong passion for science, technology, innovation and problem solving
