**Job description**:
Reporting to the Sales Manager of Mediterranean countries, you join our Sales office in Milan (Italy) within a human-sized commercial team.
After learning all about our internal processes, the markets, and our Solutions for Water&Heat and Electricity markets (including Smart metering, Meter data collection, and Meter data management), your main responsibility will be to grow business activities in Italy in direct and indirect (Channel partners). You will contribute to selling our devices portfolio and complete solutions to our existing customers and prospects.
This position involves extensive travel in Italy to establish and maintain a close relationship with customers (utilities, public administrations) and partners.
Main

**Responsibilities**:
Qualify, develop, and maintain thorough company and product knowledge, research utility and partners’ expectations, and identify how our portfolio can provide value to customers.
Understand customers’ needs and design customized solutions with our technologies and services.
Participate in the preparation of RFI & RFQ, technical proposals, tender responses, solution presentations, etc.
Perform incisive and insightful market and competitive research to identify new opportunities.
Generate leads and grow existing relationships, maintain an accurate, detailed opportunity list, and develop an active customer base.
Identify potential business and technical channel partners to grow our business.
Develop and keep alive a pipeline of opportunities to build a long-term forecast.
Conduct quarter-end and year-end close processes.

**Required profile**:
Commercial or Technical degree completed with at least 3 years of successful experience in selling complex and/or added-value solutions (hardware, software, services) by working in an international organization.
Prior experience with the Italian public tender process is required.
Preferably coming from the Water/Energy sector proposing solutions to enable companies, utilities, municipalities, and governments to improve their daily and long-term performances.
Passion for sales, ability to generate new leads, build relationships with public officials, and C-level stakeholders, and close deals.
Outstanding ability to convince others and maintain an effective business network.
Excellent team spirit and communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Fluent English and Italian skills are mandatory.
Driving license is required.
