**ALTEC is looking for an Engineer in order to fulfil the _Columbus Flight Director_ position within the Columbus mission at DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen - Munich (Germany), starting in September 2023.**:
**Leader of the Columbus Flight Control Team (FCT), of the European User Support Operations Centers (USOCs) and of the Engineering Support groups, responsible for the real-time operations execution in the Columbus module and of the ESA Payload activities on ISS.**:
**Duties**:
**Responsibilities include pre-mission planning and integration, and the management and direction of real-time ISS mission operations for ESA (team console support on 24/7 rotation scheme), in coordination with the ISS International Partners.**:
**Provide an FCT-wide integration function in support of dedicated flight operations and associated systems constraints/changes to ensure an integrated FCT position on all critical topics and requirements in end-to-end mission execution.**:
**Point-of-contact in developing the operational concepts and mission execution plans in support of complex ISS payloads and systems to ensure optimal crew and vehicle safety while achieving planned mission objectives.**:
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS**:
Knowledge of ISS/Columbus systems and payloads.

Knowledge of manned mission operations systems and concepts.

Project and technical management of complex operational projects.

**ADDITIONAL ASSETS***:

- Previous experience working in mission operations is an asset.
