**YOUR TEAM**
You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where biomedical, materials and physics engineers, material scientists, physicists, chemists, biotechnologists and biologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
The Nanomaterials for Energy and Lifescience Research Unit is coordinated by Prof. Guglielmo Lanzani who has extensive experience in the photophysics of organic molecules and semiconductors.
- The research focuses on the study of molecular phototransducers for cell opto-stimulation. This includes spectroscopy, electrochemistry, microscopy and electrophysiology.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate the activity of cell growth and differentiation of muscle cells;
- Plan and realize experiments aiming at the characterization and testing of new photo transducers and their exploitation in prototypes. In particular: 1) spectroscopy characterization of the molecular/nanoparticles transducers, including absorption and emission both steady state and time resolved, in different media; 2) experiments of confocal microscopy imaging, photoluminescence and electro physiology for testing the performances in cells.

***WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE**
- A PhD in STEM disciplines, in particular Physics or Physics Engineering, including Chemistry, Materials Science and similar disciplines
- Documented experience on cell culturing and differentiation, electrophysiology, spectroscopy and bio imaging
- Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
- Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
- Previous working experience in renown research centers in Italy or abroad
- Good command in spoken and written English
