We are now recruiting for a Manager Logistics COE to join us in Crespellano, Bologna

In this role you will play a key role in defining and driving transformational initiatives globally to improve performance and visibility of warehousing (WMS), transportation, and in-market distribution operations. You will be a go-to domain expert and strategic project leader, solving challenges, inventing solutions, and deploying market leading initiatives that will contribute value to PMI's supply chain operations

Your ‘day to day’
- Own and define Logistics working standards for the Global Supply Chain function, across product categories, channels and geographical locations.
- Lead multi-functional teams to establish processes, operational models, and performance requirements to drive top quality results for service, costs, cash and carbon.
- Define and supervise the implementation of the best working practices globally and in proof-of-concept markets.
- Consistently seek continuous improvement opportunities using audits and regular assessment. Ensure alignment to standards, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance to Supply Chain teams for the deployment of enhanced standards.
- Provide an ever-present overview of future-state opportunities for logistics and supply chain by evaluating industry developments related to material flow efficiency, inventory tracking technology, web/cloud based warehousing software, etc.
- Support Supply Chain Excellence and Leadership Teams in elaborating, developing, and implementing a sustainable (Logistics) strategy.
- (Co-)Lead ground-breaking projects delivering on time, within budget and to the highest standards to enable flawless operations with no disruption, assisting the business during handover and post launch.

We’re looking for someone with
- University Degree (or equivalent) in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain or related fields.
- 8+ years of confirmed experience working within FMCG/CPG supply chain, ideally in a GxP or regulated environment.
- Operational expertise gained in hands-on roles within Warehouse Management, Order Management, Transportation and/or Distribution positions.
- Confirmed understanding of Warehousing/Logistics industry dynamics, relevant sustainability standards and regulations, and technological developments.
- Transformational project/program management skills and experience leading multi-functional teams.
- Capability to conceptualise, analyse, simplify, and communicate vast and sophisticated global topics, enabling senior leadership to make key strategic decisions with data-driven recommendations.
- Passionate for technology, automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement, harnessing the latest business processes and tools.
- Good knowledge of SAP MM, leading WMS and/or TMS solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage and empower partners at all levels of the organization.
- Language: English - Proficient.
