**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**

Overview / Job Responsibilities:
At ACT1 Federal, our people make the difference. As a NSD-S HUB Analyst, supporting NATO Strategic Direction-South, you will work to increase ACT's understanding of the regional dynamics of North Africa, the Middle East, the Sahel, Sub-Sahara and adjacent areas. You will be responsible for reporting and providing information of new developments regarding strategic level in that area as well as promoting HQ SACT inputs and supporting the development of regional approaches.

In this role, a typical day will include:

- Acting as focal liaison point with NSD-SN HUB and ACT Strategic Plans and Policies (SPP) Strategic Planning and Policy Section (STRTPLP).
- Developing and maintaining the NSD-S database.
- Reporting to the SPP STRTPLP Branch Head regarding ACT related issues.
- Interacting with ACT Directorates and Branches to exchange information and knowledge, regarding HUB functions supporting policy, Education, Training, Exercises, and Evaluation and capability development providing respectively understanding of the South security environment, activities and engagements.
- Updating ACT on HUB deliverables related to its responsibilities.
- Utilizing, exploiting and managing ACT products to support HUB activities and deliverables.
- Engaging with NSD-S Hub stakeholders providing ACT point of view.
- Preserving ACT’s direct relationships with the HUB.
- Supporting Hub utilization of ACT and NATO Experimentation, Doctrine and Concept development, and Operational Analysis.
- Ensuring the Hub has full access to ACT online products.
- Requesting projects/studies from NSD-S HUB via Knowledge

Minimum Qualifications:
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**:

- A College degree or similar national academic qualification is required.
- Five (5) years of equivalent military or professional experience in a policy or similar environment can be used as a substitute(s) for a university degree
- Experience in an international military or governmental agency policy environment.
- Experience on major joint or international military staff that includes planning of high-level events such as: Conferences, Exercises, Seminars, Workshops (Preferably within NATO).
- Familiarity with NATO Plans and Policies.
- The following are desired:

- Previous experience working with Flag/General Officers or equivalent.
- Foreign language proficiency, particularly French is desirable.
- Portfolio, Program and Project management (P3) and Senior Officer Policy Courses
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours to include weekends and evenings, often on short notice
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and previous experience in managing complex schedules.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and resourcefully on several tasks at one time with minimum supervision.
- Present a mature, professional appearance; interact well with others in international environment.
- Advanced knowledge of word processing, project management, and database software.
- An active U.S. Secret Clearance is required.
- Valid passport with no travel restrictions to NATO member nations.
