**Job Description**:
We are looking for a Data Science Consultant to play a key role within our growing EMEA Data Science Team.
You will be accountable to drive results quickly and accurately, building partnerships across the enterprise to drive adoption of capabilities that drive insights, power sales and generate demand.
This position is based at our Rome office located in Italy.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Technical:
- Analyzing, processing, evaluating and documenting large data sets
- Validating score performance
- Documenting and presenting model process and model performance
- Applies analytical and industry knowledge to construct analytical solutions with details for internal and external clients to solve their business problems.
Problem Solving and Innovation:
- Makes independent decisions that require developing new options and troubleshooting uncertainty to solve complex problems.
- Develop best practices for utilizing Experian and client data and producing new insights
- Develop appropriate business assumptions for developing relevant solutions
- Develop state-of-the-art topical material for Knowledge Share and relevant Roundtable discussions
Managing Clients and Internal Relationships:
- Lead and advocate efforts to improve client’s analytical solution, data quality, model fit, and project timeline
- Lead team efforts for finding optimal solutions
Team Working and Knowledge Sharing:
- Shares expertise with others and continually strive to improve overall contributions to the department.
- Provides informal and formal mentoring within project team
- Become analytics advocate through publication and internal and external presentations
- Actively participate in the greater analytical community through conference presentation and white paper.
**Qualifications**:
Knowledge:
- Proficient in at least one of Python or R
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Data, structures and their value when used for analysis marketing, risk and customer management
- Take responsibility for personal organization and time management
- Regression models, XGboost, Neural network, SVM and/or ensemble tools
**Experience**:
- Able to monitor market trends and industry directions
- Work independently, with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and also as part of a team
- Communicate clearly in written reports and presenting technical work
- Able to complete Business Line Analytics projects by scoping and performing custom analysis
- Advanced algorithms to address practical problems
- Working with statistical tools
Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree or equivalent in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Math’s or other quantitative fields
- Fluent English and Italian
