Role and Responsibilities

In this role the Simulator Technician III / Shift Leader will be expected to perform;

Main Tasks
- Perform daily preventive maintenance
- Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance
- Implement and follow the H/S procedure to guarantee the own safety, the one of the colleagues and the Customers
- Clean the simulators ‘areas (including but not limited to motion base, cockpit, simulator bowl, ) and sanitize the simulators in case unexpected special events happens (e.g. vomit in the cockpit) or when the H&S procedures required it (e.g.but not limited to post-training session Covid prevention cleaning of the cockpit or other H/S requirements).
- Prepare the Simulators for Customer Training and Authorities Certifications (morning readiness, Visual tuning, QTGs and any other task that may be required)
- Check the Simulators status after the suppliers’ integration activities
- Support logistic duties in coordination with the Logistic Administrator
- Support Training Activities (e.g. including but not limited to Journey Logs, Lost Time management) and Customer requests
- Support Snag Clearance activities as assigned by the Shift Leader
- Ensure that the Health and Safety procedures are followed by the colleagues on shift
- Close in a timely and correct way the JL at the end of each training session
- Accountable to the Shift Leader for the performed activities
- Diagnoses malfunctions of computers and simulator associated equipment and performs operability/readiness tests and repair.
- Performs systems interface/fault isolation.
- Applies fundamental troubleshooting procedures in the maintenance of interfaces and peripheral equipment used with computers.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Provides technical guidance to junior technicians.
- Maintains required documentation of maintenance activities.
- Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
- Documents maintenance activities performed during task assignment or troubleshooting events
- Perform incoming inspections of new/repaired items as required
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.

Skills required:

- Basic understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation terminology
- Able to interpret mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic schematics and other technical documents
- Computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and of the tools used within the company.
- Troubleshooting skills as well as having knowledge of how to use electronic test equipment and diagnostic utilities.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic, avionics, visual and computer networking systems.
- Experience in leadership is a plus
