Key Responsibilities
  • Support software engineers in software architecture development
  • Collaborate with the software team to test and update detailed software design
  • Understand and analyze software code for updates
  • Execute unit, subsystem, and system tests
  • Contribute to the creation and review of test procedures for each requirement
  • Ensure the adequacy of test procedures
  • Test partially or fully integrated systems/subsystems
  • Verify the system against its requirements and document its performance
  • Participate in dry runs and complete acceptance test procedures, preparing a test result report
  • Support quality tests with end customers and document the results
  • Work with the team to achieve project milestones as per schedule
  • Support customer reviews and formal reviews with customers as required
  • Manage software package backups
  • Assist with acceptance tests
  • Support the creation of the master configuration by testing software updates and bug fixes
  • Prepare CCB presentations for releasing new master loads to customers
  • Support clients/users in the acceptance phase
  • Schedule and coordinate hardware and software integration tasks with other groups and local teams
  • Develop scripts and procedures to optimize software maintenance activities
Requirements
  • One to three years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Experience in software testing
  • Knowledge of agile software development
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and various operating systems
  • Knowledge of related work areas would be an advantage
  • Understanding of simulation technology desirable
  • Understanding of computer and avionics interfaces (Ethernet, 1553, Arinc) desirable
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Customer-oriented work
  • Willingness to travel required (within Italy and abroad)
  • Occasional night shift work may be required
  • Availability to travel up to 20-30% of working time (Italy and abroad)
