Within the Sales and Marketing entity, the European Space Agency (ESA) Sales team is focusing on ESA institutional Telecommunication, Earth Observation, Exploration, Science, Space Transport and Technologies domains.

Present job vacancy is related to the ESA Radar Earth Observation domain Sales, reporting to ESA Radar Earth Observation head. It covers the following activities:

- As starting point to get familiar withBL OEN/DONI product strategy for what concerns SAR instrument, satellite, platform and key equipment
- To act as sales manager for the BL OEN/DONI and Hardware Engineering bids relevant to ESA initiatives related to Radar Earth Observation with the key objective to be able in the short term to act as capture leader. More specifically according to Chorus Manage Bids process anticipate, create, prepare, submit and negotiate TAS offers in response to ESA Radar EO relatedInvitation To Tenders
- To become in the short/medium term the focal point for the identification and capturing of ESA strategic preparatory studies and relevant pre-development activities in order to strength TAS position in view of future EO Radar mission implementation phases
- To provide following support to ESA Sales Radar Earth Observation (EO) head
- Plan and monitor the sequence of ESA Radar EO offers
- Prepare TAS position for the ESA Ministerial Councils
- Define and implement European Repartition of TAS Radar EO industrial activities
- Ensure one voice to the ESA customer in the EO domain

Competencies needed for the position are:

- Radar Earth Observation knowledge at system level
- ESA procurement rules knowledge
- TAS internal bid process knowledge
- Capable to rapidly acquire a global vision, to be synthetic, to communicate clear messages
- Open minded, keen to listen and to build trust with ESA customer
- Able to federate proposals and to propose common solutions
- Excellent Team and collaboration spirit
- Excellent oral and written English

Position is located in Rome, with regular travels in Europe
