The Video Player Architect is a senior technical leadership role working on novel video solutions for Deltatre. In this role, you will work within a small, empowered team of cross-cutting technical specialists to deliver a brand new multi-stream, multi-platform consumer experience on a global scale.

The business unit hiring for this role is **VIDEO.**

**VIDEO **is a leading OTT and Digital products and services provider delivering best-of-breed software and components as well as comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

**The role will include**:

- Architecting the player solution
- Working directly with client stakeholders
- Rapid prototyping and proof of concept development (TypeScript preferred)
- Creating reference code implementations
- Working with the development team to translate reference architectures and technical proofs of concept into production-ready code across multiple platforms
- Ensuring that documentation is produced to the highest standards
- Supporting the development team in an iterative, agile environment
- Acting as technical evangelist for the project within the wider Deltatre community
- Participating in high intensity troubleshooting
- Ensuring project alignment with Deltatre processes and security policies
- Participating in the hiring of engineers within your technical domain
- Participating in technical growth planning for your technical domain
- Appreciation and management of aspects related to intellectual property

**Responsibilities**
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and architect highly scalable technical solutions
- Analysing client requirements and carrying out feasibility evaluations
- Carrying out requirement reviews, gap analysis etc.
- Producing technology-specific documentation
- Onboarding and training of new joiners to the project team
- Mentoring junior engineers within the project team
- Ensuring the code quality of the project team through code reviews
- Knowledge sharing between project teams
- Managing and contributing to Deltatre communities of practice, including knowledge sharing presentations
- Producing technical guidelines for specific technology domain
- Producing best practice documentation to be adopted across the project
- Producing training materials tailored to company needs
- Participating in training initiatives
- Estimation of effort for new project requirements
- Participating in Talent Acquisition
- Promoting the company on the market through technical blogs, events, presentations, etc.
- Working with project team to carry out periodic health checks / reviews
- Keeping up to date with the technology domain and company technical evolution

**Requisiti**:
**A Video Player Architect with a love for technology, and**:

- 10 years technical leadership and development experience
- Expert understanding of streaming technology domain
- Expert knowledge of video playback, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH etc.), DRM, low latency delivery etc.
- Expert knowledge of technology-specific tools, frameworks, and processes
- Expert knowledge of specific player / device quirks
- Expert knowledge of cross-device & cross-browser debugging
- Experience of high availability, high scalability architectures
- Ability to deep dive into complex technical problems
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to support developers and accommodate emerging requirements
- Good communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Understanding of asynchronous coding
- A good knowledge of Web Socket implementations an advantage
