Responsibility for commodity group/purchasing operations/technical leadershipGlobal cost responsibility for one or more global sub commodity group(s) with high technical complexity and strategic importance. Execution of complex purchasing operations. Technical leadership of plant buyers assigned to the commodity group. Decision-making authority for national and international supplier selection/development, taking into account qualification processesProcurement market researchAnalyze national and international procurement markets with the help of trade fair and supplier visits and Internet research, tender documents as well as technical documents relating to the specialist purchasing area (e.g. observing the development of new suppliers / technologies). Recognizing trends on the supply markets and weighing and evaluating opportunities and risks. Identification and development of LowCostCountry suppliers under consideration of total cost of ownership.Identification, establishment, support and development of new, strategic and existing suppliers within the scope of the field. Optimization of the sources of supply or the supplier base. Determination of the global supplier base for the responsible commodity groups.Development, coordination and active management of global commodity group strategies for the responsible sub commodity groups, taking into account global and regional market, procurement and location aspects. Definition of strategic global suppliers and implementation of supplier reduction and harmonization strategies. Evaluate supplier performance, taking into account supply flexibility and reliability. Prepare and execute purchasing transactions and negotiations.Ensure global supply in the form of global and/or regional framework agreements with materials, goods, services in the right quality and annual requirement quantities,taking into account budgets, business plans, compliance and targets. Consolidate demand analysis of affected plants. Make award decisions considering all factors affecting cost (Total Cost of Ownership) and partial price comparisons.Initiation, execution and support of global and or regional tenders with price and value analysis. Consolidation of the information necessary for the global tenders (such as requirements, demand developments, technical requirements, quality requirements, logístical requirements, local conditions, etc). from the plants concerned.Negotiation and optimization of prices, terms and conditions, individual and framework agreements, also in a foreign language, taking into account the right to sign.Cost optimizationParticipate in the creation of cost models and negotiation of the models with suppliers. Optimize processes, purchasing programs and purchasing activities. Initiate, lead, track and document savings projects within Commodity. Analyze cost drivers within sub commodity groups. Creation and tracking of key performance indicators for area of responsibility.OtherDevelop purchasing tools to create commodity group cost visibility. Monitoring raw material markets for affected sub commodity groups. Approximately 30% travel.Education and Experience:
Completed technical and/or business college degree or completed at least 3 years of specialized vocational training and at least 2 years of specialized training is required.The technical knowledge of goods to be procured, delivery capability and delivery possibility as well as the conduct of negotiations (also in a foreign language) in connection with the processing of complex purchasing transactions require particularly long-term (more than 7 years) professional experience.#ENGnovind21 Responsibilities:
